Hi Friends!

I’m Jamie — welcome to my blog! I have a deep love for baked goods, books, and this beautifully cold place I get to call home: Duluth, MN (nicknamed the “Zenith City”).

I’ve been playing in the kitchen my whole life: baking cookies with my mom and helping my grandma prep veggies from the garden as a kid; baking in local cafes as an adult; and experimenting in my own kitchen along the way. The Northern Ginger Blog is a place for me to share my favorite recipes as well as any tips I’ve learned over the years.

My first love is baking, so you’ll find mostly sweets here. But since I like vegetables almost as much as chocolate, there may be a few savory dishes thrown in for good measure. (“Good measure” — get it? Did I mention I also love puns?)
